The mere word "lasagna" sends our thoughts to a noisy Italian feast, where children laugh loudly and tap the plates with spoons, while adults shout at them maliciously, trying to calm the kids and arrange dishes on the big table with various goodies. And in the center of this fragrant "booth" she stands - gentle and bright, fragrant and juicy climbing!
The Italians are proud of their culinary invention, and we are actively adopting their gastronomic traditions, weaving them into our own canvas of holiday lunches and dinners. Therefore, today we suggest that instead of the usual slices of potatoes or gentle mashed potatoes, put on a New Year's table a dish with multi-layer and mouth-watering lasagna.
To prevent the lasagna from breaking up when slicing, paste layers must be laid crosswise on the filling (one layer along, the next across, etc.).
The ingredients for the Italian specialty are easy to find in domestic stores and markets. So that We go on a culinary cruise for the following components:
- 500 g chicken thigh fillet;
- 2 onions;
- 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil;
- 50 g butter;
- 500 g of tomatoes in their own juice without skin;
- 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar;
- 0.5 tsp salts;
- a quarter of a teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper;
- 120 g of hard cheese;
- 150 g of soft cheese;
- 12 sheets for lasagna.
We chop chicken meat with a knife into small pieces (cookers, limited in time, or just “sloths” can use a meat grinder or a food processor with a grinder). Cheese grated on a coarse grater. And we cut onions into small cubes and fry exactly half in vegetable oil.
When the onion is browned, we send chopped meat to it and, stirring constantly, fry for 3 minutes. Salt, pepper and remove from the stove.
The word lasagna comes from the Roman "lagani", which means bread sliced into strips.
Now we begin to make tomato sauce. Melt the butter in a saucepan and fry the second half of the onion on it. We wait until the onions are gilded, pour the tomatoes in their own juice, balsamic vinegar and half a glass of water. We wait until the mixture begins to gurgle, salt, pepper and minimize the fire under the saucepan. The sauce should boil a third.
We dip the sheets for lasagna into boiling water for 1 minute and immediately get it. We lay out in the form in this order: a layer of sheets for lasagna, a layer of minced meat with onions, a layer of cheese, a layer of tomato sauce. Next, repeat the layers until the components run out.
It does not matter in which corner of Italy you are located, in any, even the smallest town, you will be fed with amazing lasagna.
We cover the lasagna in the form of foil and send it to the oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20 minutes. Then lower the temperature to 180 degrees and bake another 20 minutes.
