The country's largest agricultural holding wants to replace import by 100%. Agroholding "Ecoculture" supplies Russians with cucumbers, eggplant, lettuce and tomatoes. The company plans to focus on the latter: “The market is almost full of cucumbers. We have a shortage of tomatoes, too many imports, ”says company president Alexander Rudakov. Now, the largest agricultural holding in Russia has 200 hectares of greenhouses with tomatoes. Every year, farmers harvest 120 thousand tons of tomatoes from them. To build these greenhouses, the company spent 51 billion rubles (782 million dollars). But in the next five years he plans to spend almost three times as much - 120 billion rubles (1.8 billion dollars) to expand them. This is about 500 hectares.By 2019, the company wants to increase the harvest to 200 thousand tons, for which it plans to build 120 hectares of greenhouses. The company has big plans - to place greenhouse complexes in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and China. If the plan is realized, the total area of the holding's greenhouses will exceed 1000 hectares. And also engage in the production of fruits - apples and pears. Under intensive gardening, the company acquired an economy in the Stavropol Territory. They plan to expand it to 1000 hectares in the next three years. At the moment, according to Rudakov, the company's revenue is 15 billion rubles (230 million dollars). Taking into account the fruit business and other planned plans, the holding wants to increase this figure by 2023 to $ 1 billion.
