The poultry industry in Ukraine will inevitably survive the revolution, said Alina Sych, general director of the Vladimir-Volyn poultry farm, which established the production of chicken meat under the Epicurus brand.
The issue of the emergence of antibiotic resistance is now an acute issue throughout the world. The World Health Organization has called it one of the global problems of mankind and a threat to health. According to experts, until 2050 antibiotic resistance will cause damage to global GDP, lowering it by 2-3.5%. The global economy will lose $ 100 trillion.
The reason for the emergence of antibiotic resistance lies in the persistent bacteria that appear due to the use of antibiotics in animal husbandry. These bacteria are immune to antibiotics, multiply and carry a hidden threat.Antibiotics in Ukraine are often uncontrollably used in poultry farming. Because of this, antibiotic-resistant bacteria appear that enter the human body through poultry products or even contact with them. As a result, the body's immunity to antibiotics develops, medical costs and mortality rates increase.
Today in Ukraine there are more and more companies that refuse to use antibiotics in poultry farming, finding new technologies and developing modern lines of business. One of them is the Vladimir-Volyn poultry farm. Its director Alina Sych will take part in the International Practical Forum Poultry Farming, which will be held April 10-11 in Lviv, where she will talk about the upcoming restructuring of the poultry industry in Ukraine.
