In the Ternopil region, an agri-business was damaged at the hands of an attacker.

The crime was committed by a company security guard. In the dark, a 27-year-old worker stole a tractor from a protected area, loaded cattle feed on it and went to sell it to a friend, the police department of the Ternopol region said in a statement.

A 27-year-old resident of the village of Zazdrost in the Terebovlyansky district of the Ternopil region was hired by a security guard at a local agricultural firm. After some time, the head of security revealed the loss of a tractor with a feed mixer from the territory of the company.

The guard who was supposed to look after the property of the enterprise was also absent from the workplace. The company’s security chief contacted the police. The vehicle was found by law enforcement officers stuck in a swamp in a field near the village of Tyutkov. In the bucket of the tractor where livestock feed was stored, no more than 300 kg of feed was found.

As it turned out, the unsuccessful maneuver of the company guards drove the tractor into the swamp, when at night it drove to sell food to his friend. For the deal, he gained about 4 thousand UAH. The offender is detained in accordance with article 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

At present, the issue of announcing the suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 289 (illegal possession of vehicles) and part 1 of article 185 (theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, as well as the choice of preventive measure.
