According to Future Farming, at the organic farming fair in the Netherlands, a group of scientists presented a revolutionary project - the Odd.bot robot, which can detect weeds and remove them.

The principle of operation of the robot is simple: it moves between the beds on wheels, scans the surface and determines the presence of weeds. It recognizes both cultivated plants and wild plants. The image falls on the camera, after which the robot pulls out excess plants.

The invention is mechanized, automated and equipped with artificial intelligence. Its developers believe that Odd.bot is a real find for farmers who are convicted of using pesticides. The use of the robot in the fields will significantly save human resources, reduce the cost of time and chemicals. It is planned that Odd.bot will be available for rent.

According to experts, it will take 3-4 years to improve the robot.
