The head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Crimean Peninsula noted that farms in the territory entrusted to him this season have collected over eight thousand tons of vegetable products grown in open ground:
“We are talking about tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, carrots, zucchini, beets, bell peppers and garlic, as well as peas,” said Minister Andrei Ryumshin. “The total volume of these crops grown this year in the Crimean fields amounted to eight thousand one hundred tons.”
Also, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture emphasized that this year, five thousand six hundred tons of potatoes were harvested from agricultural lands of the peninsula.
As for the greenhouse production in Crimea, here we can talk about a crop whose total weight exceeded five thousand four hundred tons of vegetables grown in closed ground.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry reports on the preparation by the Crimean farmers of the soil for the laying of perennial crops. And in this case, we can safely talk about an area of one thousand forty-five hectares.
“We intend to lay at least eight hundred and sixty-six hectares for perennial fruit and over one hundred and forty-one hectares for growing essential oil plants,” said Ryumshin. “More than twenty-two hectares will be planted under the berry bushes.”
In addition, the minister added that at this point six hundred fifty-eight hectares have already been laid for the cultivation of perennial fruits of crops. ”
