The Bester group of companies from the Kiev region, which is engaged in the cultivation of sturgeons and produces black caviar, is building capacities for growing Clari (African) catfish and Australian cancer. This was announced by the director and co-owner of the company Yuri Yaremenko.
Also in the immediate plans of the company "Bester" - the construction of a workshop for processing fish products. While the breeding stock of Clari catfish is growing, the farm has launched an experimental processing plant.
“We are already manufacturing products - in order to know what to do with catfish when they grow up,” Yuri Yaremenko explained. “Although we already understand that it will be mainly snack products.”
Australian crayfish on the farm are going to be grown as experimental products. “We still have reserve territory at the facility where we made a major reconstruction to deploy large cancer capacities,” the director of the company said.
Earlier it was reported that the Kiev company "Bester" has established export deliveries of black caviar of its own production to the United States of America. The first two batches of products have already been sent there.
For information, adult individuals of clarius catfish reach 170 cm in length and weigh about 60 kg. The average life span is 8 years.
