Very soon, on July 6, 2019, a large-scale holiday dedicated to the cucumber will be held in the territory of the Perm Territory.
It is known that the residents of the village of Kazaevo, which is located in the Kungursky district, have long been focused on growing cucumber plantations. The start of mass cultivation of cucumbers was laid more than a hundred years ago, and today many villagers are hereditary cultivators of cucumbers for several generations.
Cucumbers from Kazaevo are known to farmers from different parts of the Russian Federation and are highly valued for their unique aroma and increased crispness. To popularize their activities and pay tribute to many years of tradition, the villagers regularly hold the Cucumber Festival.
During the event, guests have the opportunity to taste various varieties of Kazaev cucumbers, get acquainted with unique recipes for preparing these vegetables and enjoy not only fresh cucumbers, but also light-salted, pickled, pickled, stuffed, baked, fried, as well as jam and other products.
In addition, the experienced gardeners of the village boast their well-groomed courtyards with original design and will entertain the guests of the festival with all kinds of folk amusements, among which are the carnival procession-masquerade, the relay race with cucumbers and the competition among the creators of garden scarecrows.
It will not do without competitions to determine the best costume among the participants in the masquerade, as well as the presentation of the best dishes from cucumbers.
