It was finally finally possible to tame and stabilize the epizootic situation in the Kaliningrad region and to fight the African swine fever virus. And today, the number of industrial livestock of Kaliningrad pigs has finally been restored and reaches the level of indicators before the period of mass infection.

The fourth compartment, which is the highest, was appropriated by employees of veterinary enterprises and the Rosselkhoznadzor to such enterprises as PSP-2 and Kornevo. It is noteworthy that both enterprises are limited liability companies. As for the owners of private farms and livestock farms, they also managed to bring the level of biological protection of their animals to the third and fourth compartments. And some of their colleagues simply switched to alternative types of livestock farming.

On the first day of 2019, there were only 24 pigs in the Kaliningrad Region. ASF virus destroyed 99% of the livestock by this time. Today the situation has improved significantly, and Kaliningrad breeders prefer to forget as soon as possible that the meat of infected pigs was massacred, here and there criminal proceedings were instituted against negligent participants in pig-breeding processes, and people and enterprises suffered enormous losses, the total amount of which reached one billion rubles.
