In Canada, the pilot project Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot will start very soon. The purpose of this program is to attract as many migrants as possible to live and work in rural areas who come to Canada from other countries in search of a better life.
The villages that take part in the project provide the government with lists of jobs that are currently vacant. In addition, village activists provide their government members with programs to develop infrastructure and social life in their localities. Thus, the Canadian authorities want to kill two birds with one stone - to actively contribute to the development of their country and to facilitate migrants as much as possible the process of integration into their new social environment.
