One of the bioenergetic facilities of Ukraine is the Bioproekt society, which is engaged in the cultivation of energy poplar on 45 hectares of the Zhytomyr region. The collection of raw materials for biofuel production will take place in April.

Industrial plantation of energy trees LLC Bioproekt spread over 45 hectares of Markushi village of Zhytomyr region. Wood ripening takes place over 3 years, after which it is cut and goes to wood chips for processing.

In the next three years, the process repeats again. A new collection of wood for the manufacture of wood chips will be held in April.

Using scientific knowledge and good weather conditions, the production of wood chips can be an excellent and quite profitable alternative to heating with natural gas, says Gerard de La Sall, production director. The entrepreneur plans in the future to provide TPPs with independently produced fuel chips.

For information, the Bioproekt company grows energy trees such as willow and poplar for biofuel production. Willow plantations are located in the Volyn region. In addition, the company provides consulting regarding the laying of plantations of energy trees and their cultivation. Along the way, the company sells certified seedlings of willow and poplar.
