During the first half of 2019, this is 10% more than last year.
This was announced by the President of the Association of Animal Farmers of Ukraine Oleksandr Diky.
He noted that mink farms act as a natural utilizer of livestock by-products without unnecessary effects. “For example, Poland is the main exporter of poultry meat in the European market.
One of the components of this success is mink farms that buy waste from poultry farms for feeding fur animals, thereby significantly reducing the final cost of production, ”said Alexander Dikiy. In this case, poultry farms save on waste disposal.
For information, eight mink farms operate in Ukraine today. And domestic poultry farms are increasingly disposing of waste, turning it into biogas. The pyrolysis method in this case is not very suitable, because unlike European realities, chicken droppings in Ukraine have higher humidity.
Biogas waste disposal technology is more suitable for those farms that, in addition to poultry farming, are engaged in growing plants, since it allows you to obtain bio-fertilizers.
