Employees of the meat processing industry of the city of Penza intend to make a real sensation on a global scale. The plans of ambitious Penzens include the preparation of a barbecue, the length of which will be 52 meters.

The creation of a unique dish is scheduled for May 25, 2019 - on this day in the city it is planned to hold a barbecue festival on the basis of the Arbekovskaya Zastava housing estate.

The festival will be organized by leading meat processing enterprises of the Penza Region, which have long established themselves as reputable suppliers of environmentally friendly meat of organic origin of various types (including pork, beef, lamb and other types of meat).

It is reported that the height of the barbecue-record holder is equal to the height of seventeen storey buildings, which constitutes the ensemble of the Arbekovskaya Zastava housing complex.

To implement the bold plans of Penza butchers, you will need about a hundred kilograms of meat from leading manufacturers of the Russian Federation, as well as an impromptu “brazier” consisting of concrete piles 12 meters high. We add that one of these piles weighs a little more than 1600 tons.

Ready-made barbecue, which, as Penza’s butchers hope, is sure to be entered in the Guinness Book of Records, will be treated to everyone from the festival’s guests for free. It is noteworthy that all interested parties can participate in the creation of a barbecue record holder.

The festival will allow everyone to not only take part in the creation of the record, but also to demonstrate to the public their skills in cooking barbecue and share family recipes and tricks of making excellent fried meat.
