Over the past week, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, 491 residents of the region, bitten by a tick, turned to doctors for help. It is important to add that one fifth of those who complained of a tick attack are children.

According to the residents of the region, a massive mite infestation began immediately after warm weather established in the Krasnoyarsk open spaces. After conducting research, pest control experts determined the area of ​​intensive habitat of ticks in the administrative center of the region: we are talking about the territory of a local meat processing plant, as well as on the banks of the Bazaikha River, in the area of ​​the Shinnoye and Badalyk cemeteries and in the Akademgorodok housing estate.

It is also known that ticks attack and bite people in the Pillars conservation area, in the Green Grove and in the Sunny District. One of the potentially dangerous places is Tatyshev Island, in which the risk of becoming a victim of a tick is as great as in the Beaver Log fan park.

It should be noted that to date, all of these areas of potential encounters with ticks have been treated with special acaricidal agents.

Note that with the onset of the warm period in the region, more than 1770 incidents involving tick bites were recorded. Based on this information, experts urge residents of the region, and especially those whose field of activity is directly related to performing certain manipulations in grassy and wooded areas, not to forget about safety rules.

In particular, closed shoes and clothing should be preferred, especially for those involved in agriculture. You need to carefully inspect your things and body after walking and working in places of high risk, and also do not forget about the use of repellents.
