Today, after the inauguration of the Minister of Agriculture of Haryana, he addressed the farmers of the Department of Horticulture in the village of Talkhedi in the Kurukshetra region with the news that the state government was opening packing shops for agricultural products in the region.
Minister of Agriculture and Welfare Farmers Haryana Jai Prakash Dalal said the state government will open 200 integrated small and large warehouses in the state over the next three years. A budget of 500 crore (more than $ 14 million) has been allocated for this purpose.
He said that modern agriculture with an “Integrated Packaging Center for Agricultural Products” will appear in Haryana. This will not only increase the income of farmers, but will also push them towards development and a commercial approach in the agricultural sector.
All product packages in the store are labeled, indicating whether this product is vegetarian or not.
The minister also said that the state government intends to make another gift to farmers in the near future, according to which an insurance scheme for garden crops will be introduced, and electricity tariffs will be reduced from 8.50 to 2.50 rupees (from 0.12 to $ 0.035).
They will be applied from April 1, 2020. He called on farmers to build packing houses together, while the government will help them in every way. Those, in turn, will profit from products directly from each warehouse.
