Russian farmers have come to taste and are increasingly increasing the cost of domestic carrots, which is of high quality. For clarity, it should be added that a week ago a kilogram of carrots cost the Russians 20% cheaper than at the moment.
As a result, today in stores and markets in Russia a kilogram package with good carrots costs an average of 15.5 rubles, while a week earlier it was possible to buy the same product in the same kilogram volume for 10 rubles.
The rise in price of carrots intensified immediately after the New Year, the trend continues to this day. It is noteworthy that the rise in price does not apply to carrots of medium and low quality.
Market experts are confident that rising prices for high-quality Russian carrots provokes a shortage of this product in domestic vegetable stores.
