Trichomoniasis
The causative agent of this disease is Trichomonas. This microorganism enters the body along with low-quality water and food. Attaches to the mucous membrane of the esophagus, goiter and larynx, forming plugs that do not allow food to pass through. As a result, the pigeon dies.
The main symptoms of trichomoniasis include:
- immobility;
- drooping wings;
- open beak.
Colibacillosis
Colibacteriosis is caused by coli coli, which penetrates the body through the air or through poor food. Most often, chicks suffer. In acute form, death occurs in a few hours.
The main symptoms are:
- thirst;
- diarrhea with foamy feces;
- fever;
- refusal of food;
- sneezing (subacute form);
- lethargy;
- cramps
- bowel movements with streaks of blood;
- rapid weight loss (chronic form).
Salmonellosis
It occurs due to a violation of cleanliness in the dovecot, provoked by the deadly stick of salmonella. Infection injures internal organs, especially in chicks.
Important! Salmonellosis can spread through the eggs of pigeons, as a result of which already infected chicks hatch.
There are 2 forms of infection:
- intestinal - manifested by decreased appetite, diarrhea, inactivity of birds due to joint damage, convulsions and paralysis;
- nervous - characterized by convulsions of the whole body and death of the bird.
Ornithosis
Chlamydia pigeon viral disease. Symptoms in young animals:
- poor development;
- diarrhea;
- weak plumage.
Important! Harvesting bird carcasses is possible only 10 days after the last dose of Nifulin-Forte.
In older individuals, the disease proceeds as follows:
- loss of appetite;
- there is conjunctivitis and lacrimation;
- snoring while breathing;
- diarrhea;
- bowel function is disturbed;
- the skin turns blue;
- birds stop flying, shake their heads.
